I'll put down the date in my calender right away, I'll be there again as a visitor next year for sure. German Christmas Cards

Today we'll have 10 unique German Christmas Cards available at the auction of the German Club in Jasper. The photos of these cards were all taken in Germany and inside it says:

" Fröhliche Weihnachten und ein Gutes Neues Jahr" ( which means "Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year"). The Jasper High School German Exchange program will get all money tonight for their trip to Germany next year. What a great program!

First Christmas card

Can't believe it's already November and Christmas is around the corner. I' m about to get all my Christmas cards ready for sale, here is my first one as a preview. Isn't that angel cute? I had to put this photo on a pink card stock, so the colors of the photo stand out much better. So it's obvious, that it's not the traditional red Christmas card this time!

Tri Kappa Auction

Last Saturday was the Tri Kappa auction in town, where I donated a basket with a total of 10 greeting cards. The basket went for $ 50, that's amazing, that's more than I've expected!

I'm glad I could help out for a good cause. All money they made at the garage sale and auction will help local charities and that's great!

Back to school

We had lots of fun at the Strassenfest in Jasper, our booth was quite busy with customers looking for that special necklace or picture frame. I'm sure we'll be back next year.

In September I'll go to Grand Rapids to the Artsprize , a pretty exciting event. The artist with the most votes can win $250,00 , isn't that crazy? If you want to check it out, their website is http://www.artprize.org/

Enjoy the summer, I really like these sunflower cards, aren't they gorgeous?

Jasper Strassenfest

I can't believe it, but summer is going so fast and the Strassenfest will come up sooner than you think. Make sure you save the date, Kathy and I will be there at the Arts Market on Saturday, August 1st at the train depot. We are really excited to show our new fabulous greeting cards with motives taken by Waltraud Weller. She just got back from a trip to Amsterdam, Netherlands! And as you can imagine she made tons of pictures of bikes, which are all over the place in that wonderful city. These are real art objects, decorated with flowers, butterflies and so on. She also made a trip to Ruegen, which is a lovely German island in the East Sea. Can't wait to see these photos!
Kathy has spent some time in Europe with a friend and 4 teenagers ( can you imagine?)!
She is also very excited to showcase her new "Letters" and more of her cute necklaces at the Strassenfest.
Hope to see you there,
Gabi

Sample of our greeting cards

Just want to give you an idea , how our handmade greeting cards look like.

These brilliant, vibrant colors catch everybody's eyes and are the signature of Waltraud's photography. Wouldn't you be pleasantly surprised to find such a colorful envelope in your mailbox next to all your colorless bills and junk mail?
